Common Issues:
My Toolbar does not
show up in MS Word.
Check to see if you
have view turned off.
Step 1. Run MS Word, go to top menu and select 'View/Toolbars"
and look for look for an entry for SYSTRAN. If you see one,
make sure that it has a checkmark beside it.
Are you Blocking Systran in Word?
The most common
reason the Systran toolbar does not show up is because your security
is
set
too high
and is
blocking
it.
Step 1. Run MS Word, go to the top menu and select "Tools/Macro/Security
Step 2. Choose the "Security Level" Tab and change the setting to "Low"
(You may change this back later to a higher setting for security)
Step 2. Restart your
computer and look for the toolbar.
MS Word is set as the editor in MS Outlook (email
client)?
The SYSTRAN toolbars in Word and Outlook can
interfere with each
other. If you are using Word as your Outlook editor, try deselecting
it or avoid using Word and Outlook at the same time. Either way,
shut down both applications, then restart the one in which the
SYSTRAN toolbar failed to appear to see if it has returned.
Anti Virus Programs causing problems?
When you use AntiVirus programs they can block files from being
installed.
Step 1. Look at the bottom right corner of your destop
at the system tray and if you have the Systran icon, be sure to
right click the icon and choose 'Quit or Exit" .
Step 2. Close Internet Explorer and all
MS
Office programs
Step 3.
Go to Control Panel/ Add Remove Programs and uninstall SYSTRAN,
Step 4. Reboot your computer.
Step 5. Turn off or disable your antivirus program.
Step 6. Reinstall
Systran then reinstalling it with your anti-virus
program disabled. Next check to see if the tool bar appears. Note:
Be sure to enable your antivirus prgram again so your computer
remains protected
from viruses.
MS Office has missing or damaged file?
If your MS Office has as corrupted or missing file it
can cause issues with Systran. Follow the steps below in order.
Be sue you know how to perform this operation before attempting
to uninstal MS Word.
If all else fails, try uninstalling SYSTRAN, then
MS Office; then reinstall Office and reinstall SYSTRAN. Note:
Look at the bottom right corner of your destop at the system tray
and if you have the Systran icon, be sure to right click the icon
and choose 'Quit or Exit" before uninstalling Systran, this
turns off the Systran server running in the background so you can
completely uninstall the program.
